Chronic Medical Conditions

Internist are especially trained to treat most chronic medical conditions.  The goal of treatment is to reduce your risk of dying early or to improve your quality of life.  Often times the number of appointments to your specialists will decrease under the care of an internist who aggressive treats these conditions.  Below are examples (not a complete list) of the the chronic medical conditions that we aggressively treat to goal.

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)

  • Asthma, COPD

  • Diabetes or prediabetes

  • High cholesterol, heart disease, heart failure, fatty liver disease
