Carlson Elite EPA Gems, 1000 mg EPA Fish Oil

Taking fish oil is key, there are essentially 2 types of Omega 3's that we worry about within the human body. There is DHA that could increase your bad cholesterol and then there is EPA . This product claims to be EPA. Ask your physician about prescribing you synthetic EPA (that is made in a lab) before trying this product. If you cannot obtain the other or a prescribed drug called Vascepa then this is an over-the-counter EPA that should not raise your LDL. We always recommend that you have a follow up lab when taking these supplements to insure that the levels are appropriate.
